The third day of tour took us out of Madrid where we started going north. We stopped in the adorable town of Segovia. This town is full of old world charm. Its most striking feature is a large roman aqueduct that dominated the landscape of the town.
Another cool thing about this town is that it has a beautiful cathedral and a castle like rectory. The rectory is actually able to purchase tickets to to wander inside. If you like old buildings then it is worth the 7 euro to go see it. You can tour the rooms and climb up to the roof.
After wards I found a cute sandbox for dogs which made me laugh and a table to sit and drink coffee with Shane while people watching. The. It was off to our next city, Bilbao. Now first of all Bilbao is very art focused. It is also huge. And it had the. Guggenheim. Bilbao had lots of shopping, a beautiful river and lots of cool restaurants. It is crazy hilly. A lot like San Francisco. It also has lots of street performers and musicians.
In my free time I went to the Guggenheim. It’s not that expensive and is a really famous gallery. The art it’s really interactive. Which is nice after the first gallery we saw. For dinner we went to a brewery to try traditional northern Spain food. They taught us how to pour our own Spanish beer from the barrels. The beer was really sour.
After everyone was tired so we called it an early night.
