Day Seven – Barcelona to Ibiza, Spain

imageDay 7

Oh Ibiza. They say what happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza. Well – we’ll see. We flew to Ibiza from Barcelona. The flight was delayed so we stayed at the airport for 5 hours. The flight was 45 mins. The we headed into the tow of Ibiza. We bought our pre- ordered party tickets on arrive at the hotel. The we had a quick walking tour of the city. The city is tiny. Lots of shops, lots of clubs, lots of cafés and the fort. That is it.

Quick note. Ibiza is an island. It has several small towns on the island. The main transportation is cab. A cab ride to another town is 26 euro. Expect to move around the island.

I had a nap while my tour mates hung out at the hotel pool. We then went to the town of Sant Antoni de Portmany to see the sunset and have dinner. Here is the “famous” Cafe del Mer. Where we got cocktails and watched the sun set. It had soothing house music going in the background and everything was white washed. Weirdly a school of fish arrived at shore for about 5 mins and looked to be eating something.

Then we went back to the hotel to get dressed up. We then Caught a cab to the club district. We went to a bar to watch the foot ball game ( the World Cup was on). The bar gave us an awesome drink deal. Then we headed over to Space at 1 am. Space is a super club with several rooms. We stayed I. The first room for an hour. Our tour manager gave us all glow stick necklaces to wear to find each other in the crowd. That was awesome. Drinks at space were $20 euro I think. It was crazy expensive. At 2 am we went to the main room to see disclosure play. I never heard of them. But they are supposed to be poplar. At 330 am we headed out of the bar back to our first bar. The goal being stay up to watch the sunset. So we drank and went over stories from the night. Then eventually go down to the beach to watch the sunrise.
